Spring Migration

Black-and-White Warblers are one of the first spring migrants to arrive at Kennesaw Mountain.   Black-and-white Warbler is a common spring migrant ans uncommon breeding summer resident.  The early date for spring migration is March 14th.   The single high count for Black-and-White Warbler is 23 (April 20, 1997). This species is a known breeder on the mountain and in the park, but the peak time for most migrants passing through is April 8th to May 2nd. 

Fall Migration

This species is a common fall migrant at Kennesaw Mountain.  The single day high count for this migrant is 19 (September 5, 1993).  The late date for Black-and-White is November 2nd.  The peak fall passage of this species occurs between August 12th and October 1st.
