Obsrvs: BZ DZ KT RH RE and BD ( 6 )  0700 - 1100.  RH RE and BD off the
mountain by 1000. BZ DZ and KT off the mountain by 1100.  No rain or
fronts last night or yesterday. Very warm and humid.

Note:  BZ DZ KT had most of the birds.  They hit a flock above the big
open area.<br>
Good job.  As Roy and I were walking down the mountain.  We were
butterflly watching in the big open area.  I noticed a Black Swallow-tail
hanging upside down on a Hoary
Mountain Mint.  I looked closer and found a Praying Mantis eating the
head. The body was already gone. The Praying Mantis was four inches in
length and was a light green in color.  Roy snapped a few pictures.  Roy
and I stood around watching the Praying Mantis finish off the Black
Swallow -tail.  The only pieces left were the wings and the breeze
carried the wings down to the ground....
