KMT report for 3/19/05 Time: 7:00am to 10:00am Conditions: Clear Temperature: 34° Observers: J. King, A. Humter, Roy & Andy Hester The conditions were good but the birding was slow. We had no migrants at the base of the mountain. There were a lot of Robins in the field, a few other common species but nothing to be proud of. Shortly after starting up the mountain we saw a Red-tailed Hawk, then 4 Pine Warblers, 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers and a Hermit Thrush. We got almost to the saddle before encountering 3 Golden-crowned Kinglets and 2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets along with 2 Eastern Phoebe. Nothing else was seen until we got back to the bottom and we saw 7 Juncos and 1 Hermit thrush. Like I said at the beginning it almost was not worth reporting. I have hope that it soon improves. At that time I will put the report in proper order. Simply, I wanted to express where and explain just how little we had seen today and that is why the report is not in proper order. Better days will be here shortly
