Kennesaw Mountain Report 8/13/06

   Mark Freeman, Ed Mairiello, and I went to Kennesaw
Mountain.  We saw the following species:

Hooded Warbler                          5  (3 m, 1 f)
Chestnut-Sided Warbler              2
Canada Warbler                           1
Black-Throated Green Warbler    4
Black-and-White Warbler            1  (female)
Cooper's Hawk                            1
Turkey Vulture                            5
Red-Eyed Vireo                           2
White-Eyed Vireo                        3 (1 juv.)
Ruby-Throated Hummingbird      1
White-Breasted Nuthatch            3 
Chimney Swift                             10

       The Canada and Chestnut-Sided may be first of 
the season.
