Adult female, seen well at close range, heard chipping repeatedly. COYE 1f HOWA 6 2m 1f 3 chip WIWA 1m 20 species of warblers. 8th fall day with 20 or more species, and earliest (8 Sep 1997) SUTA 3 1f 2 call SCTA 2f INBU 2 f or imm BAOR 1 AMGO 4 Both the MacGillivray's and Mourning Warblers were seen just below the bench at the saddle overlook, moving around in the scrubby plants, mostly staying hidden. The MGWA was seen intermittently from 0835 until at least 1130, and the MOWA was seen while looking for the MGWA around 1000 and then intermittently after that. When first seen, the MGWA stayed out in the open as close as 10 feet, so all the field marks could be studied well. Other GA MGWA records are a banded bird from Jekyll Island on 2 Oct 1987 (Oriole 56:48-9), and a female in Lawrenceville 28-29 Sep 2004. Great morning!! Giff
