Several pretty good-sized flocks. In addition to the list above, GB, MO, and DZ conducted a predawn thrush count from 0530-0700. The numbers were just staggering, including several new high counts for predawn counts at KMT. We basically walked up from 0530-0600, and didn't count much, but from 0600-0700 the birds were constantly flying over, it was just amazing. to get these new high counts in such a short count period (1 hour) is just awesome. I am sure we undercounted, as many times too many were calling at once to count. Very cool. VEER 22 GCTH 147 a new high count by 63 SWTH 1096 a new high count by 306!! HETH 2 fots, this is a new early date by 3 days, but BZ likely had one on the ground yesterday WOTH 211 a new high count by 194!! (we usually don't get many in fall, for unknown reasons, best in spring is 198) BOBO 2 fots Though we were frustrated by all the missed birds after dawn, this spectacle was great! Giff
