Everyone knows that we rarely get full frame views of
warblers in the field. Here is a collection of images that are more
realistic! All these images were taken at Kennesaw Mountain.

Spring Migration - 2007
The spring season begins in the middle of March with the
arrival of the first migrants around the 14th of the month. The first
arrivals are usually Black-and-White Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler
and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. The migration slowly builds over the next few
weeks and by the end of the first week of April, Prairie and Hooded Warblers
are making an appearance. The migration picks up in mid-April and peaks
towards the end of the month. The last week of April and the first week of
May are excellent for Neo-tropical migrants. By the middle of May, the
migration slows and we sometimes experience one or two of the later, rarer
species such as Connecticut Warbler or Warbling Vireo but by late May the
migration is over. While the migration does not last as long as the fall,
the number of birds and the ability to see them up close in breeding
plumages makes this one of the best seasons.

departure dates can be found at Spring
